Abstract

The concept of gender justice is not yet established in India. Gender inequality affect women in all facets of their lives. Even in the modern era, discrimination against women persists in a number of fields. They still deal with problems like forced prostitution, dowry, sexual harassment, and many more and they frequently encounter inequality in a number of areas. In spite of facing complete discrimination, transgender individuals are denied their basic human rights as people of a third gender. However, in order to eliminate the idea of disparities in gender between men, women, and the other two genders in social, economic, political, legal, and other aspects of life, the Indian Constitution established particular provisions and laws. In addition to analysing the general concerns and issues that women and the third gender face in society, the paper aims to assess the constitutional provision pertaining to gender equality.
