Ahead of Print Policy

The IIP International Journal of Commerce & Business Management Studies offers an Ahead of Print service to provide early online access to accepted articles prior to their formal assignment to a specific journal issue. This approach facilitates rapid dissemination of high-quality research and ensures timely engagement with the academic community.

1. Purpose

The Ahead of Print service allows:

  • Early sharing of finalized research findings

  • Faster dissemination of new knowledge

  • Accelerated academic dialogue and visibility for authors

This ensures that important research reaches readers without waiting for issue scheduling.

2. Eligibility

Articles may be published as Ahead of Print when they:

  • Have been fully peer-reviewed and accepted

  • Have undergone all required editorial and technical checks

  • Are in the final stage of production and approved for release

Only manuscripts meeting all publication standards qualify for Ahead of Print status.

3. Publication

  • Ahead of Print articles are published online on the journal’s website.

  • They are accessible to researchers, students, practitioners, and the public.

  • These articles are clearly labeled as “Ahead of Print” until assigned to a specific volume and issue.

4. Citation and DOI Assignment

  • Each Ahead of Print article receives a permanent DOI (Digital Object Identifier).

  • The DOI ensures accurate and consistent citation, discovery, and indexing.

  • The DOI remains unchanged when the article is later integrated into a specific issue.

5. Final Version

  • Once assigned to a journal issue, the article may include minor stylistic or formatting updates.

  • Substantive content changes will not be made unless required for accuracy.

  • Authors are responsible for reviewing the final version to ensure consistency.

6. Visibility and Impact

Ahead of Print publication enhances:

  • Early visibility of scholarly work

  • Wider and faster readership

  • Opportunities for timely academic feedback

  • Increased citation potential and research impact

This service ensures high-quality research reaches the global audience without delay.

7. Updating Status

  • When an article is assigned to an official issue, its metadata is updated to include:

    • Volume

    • Issue number

    • Page numbers (if applicable)

    • Publication date

  • The Ahead of Print label is removed, and the article becomes part of the formal journal archive.

8. Accessibility and Open Access

  • All Ahead of Print articles are freely available in accordance with the journal’s Open Access Policy.

  • Users can read, download, cite, and share Ahead of Print content without restrictions.
