Agricultural land use planning plays a vital role in achieving balanced rural development and sustainable resource management in any region. The present study focuses on the agricultural land use patterns and village development in villages of Akkalkot Tahsil of Solapur district. Particularly this region, characterized by semi-arid climatic conditions. As well recurrent droughts, demands efficient utilization of land and water resources to enhance agricultural productivity and ensure livelihood security. The study emphasizes spatial analysis of cropping patterns, irrigation practices, and soil suitability to assess the efficiency of existing land use in selected village. It also highlights the integration of modern agricultural techniques with traditional practices for promoting sustainable farming. The research examines the interlinkages between agricultural land use, and socio-economic development of village. The findings suggest that, scientific land use planning, crop diversification, and farmer participation, can significantly contribute to improving agricultural output, reducing rural poverty, and fostering overall villages development in of Akkalkot Tahsil.
