Agriculture in developing countries like India is undergoing a major transformation, driven by the emergence of agri-entrepreneurship and innovation as catalysts for sustainable growth. Agri-entrepreneurship integrates business acumen with agricultural practice to create value through innovation, technology adoption, and market linkage. This paper examines how innovative agricultural models ranging from precision farming and AI-based monitoring to agri-drones and digital platforms are reshaping productivity, profitability, and sustainability. It also identifies the socio-economic and environmental drivers that influence this transformation, including technological advancement, market demand, youth engagement, and supportive policy frameworks. The study highlights the crucial role of financial inclusion, skill development, and public–private partnerships in promoting sustainable agricultural transformation. Ultimately, it concludes that agri-entrepreneurship and innovation serve as the twin pillars of sustainable agricultural development, improving food security, resource efficiency, and rural livelihoods.
