The world's population is growing rapidly and it is the need of the hour to recognize this threat in time and adopt modern farming methods. However, the unlimited use of chemical fertilizers and the cutting of trees for increasing production have led to environmental degradation, which has led to a decrease in the quality of food.

The solution to this is to preserve forests and grasslands, which are extremely sensitive from an environmental perspective. It is impossible to bring more land under agriculture to provide sufficient food for the growing population. As a solution to this, it is time to turn to modern agriculture that uses minimal water, land use and adapts to the climate.

Sustainable agriculture is being looked at as a solution to this.

Sustainable Agriculture means the balanced management of renewable resources such as land, crops, forests, livestock, wildlife, fish, environment, etc., without allowing them to deplete, thereby providing food, clothing, and shelter for present and future generations. Sustainable agriculture is also called organic agriculture, natural agriculture, and ecological agriculture. In sustainable agriculture, environmental balance is given greater importance. Therefore, it is called ecological agriculture. Organic materials are used as the main source for food management for sustainable agriculture.

Sustainable agriculture is important because it protects the environment, maintains soil fertility, makes proper use of water resources, ensures food security, increases farmers' income and preserves natural resources for future generations. It produces food without harming the environment, either using traditional farming methods or adopting modern technologies.

Sustainable agriculture not only addresses many environmental and social issues but also provides innovative and economically viable opportunities for producers, workers, consumers, policymakers, and many others throughout the food system.
