Employee Motivation and its impact on Job Satisfaction

Employee motivation has emerged as one of the most critical factors influencing job satisfaction, employee performance, and organizational effectiveness in the modern business environment. Organizations today operate in highly competitive and dynamic conditions where retaining skilled and satisfied employees has become a major challenge. Motivation encourages employees to put in their best efforts, while job satisfaction reflects how content employees feel with their work and workplace. This research paper examines the concept of employee motivation, the nature of job satisfaction, and the relationship between the two. The study is based on an extensive review of secondary sources such as books, research journals, reports, and published studies. The paper finds that both intrinsic and extrinsic motivational factors have a significant and positive impact on job satisfaction. It concludes that organizations must adopt well-balanced motivational strategies to enhance employee satisfaction, commitment, and productivity.
