This research article critically examines the provisions of NEP 2020 related to research, evaluates its potential impact on the future of research in India, and identifies challenges that may hinder its implementation. Through an analysis of policy documents, academic literature, and case studies, this article aims to provide insights into how NEP 2020 could shape the research landscape in India over the coming decades.
